I’m so pleased Elder Packer managed to focus all the way through his talk. (Personally, I fucking lost it!) He truly is a manly man.

      • Abe   On   April 15, 2015 at 8:51 pm

I took a class at BYU from Stephen Robinson (author of the ever-popular Believing Christ) and I remember him taking special care to make sure everyone in the class understood that Jesus drank alcoholic wine and that when it came to polygamy Joseph Smith was a “man’s man”. Oh, he also said that we were giving up the best sex years of our lives.

Pack a second pair of garments for this episode. You’re going to shit yourself laughing like Monson sneezing.

  3. Scott   On   April 12, 2015 at 8:34 pm

You guys are the absolute best thing in the Mormon podcast world today — The funniest, most intelligent, most thoughtful, most meaningful commentaries around and you pump them out like Mormon babies in the ’50s! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  4. mike   On   April 13, 2015 at 2:01 am

That was hilarious. Your satire was 10x more insightful and truthful than any commentary out there. Loved it.

  5. Thomas Moore   On   April 13, 2015 at 3:16 am

This was absolutely the best. The only thing missing was Eyring constantly breaking into tearful, spirit-filled speaking. Thank you guys for this.

  6. Orrin Dayne   On   April 13, 2015 at 5:08 am

All of the talks were fantastic. Packer’s ability to power through his issues was particularly wonderful. Loved this episode.

  7. Kristi   On   April 13, 2015 at 6:56 am

Dammit, I for sure thought this would be just the thing to help me sleep tonight. I have never in my life stayed awake during general conference. Thanks a lot, Infants.

  8. Don   On   April 13, 2015 at 3:11 pm

Brilliant! Is this the 1st Semi-Annual General Conference of the “Quorom” with another to follow in October? You have set the bar high – an ordinary “Smackdown” just isn’t going to cut it anymore.

  9. nerdherd   On   April 13, 2015 at 4:44 pm

This was so well done that the Oaks imitation talk almost put me to sleep like his real talks used to do.

    • quote   On   April 13, 2015 at 6:28 pm

I was laughing so hard a coworker asked me what I was listening to. I back it up…she thought it was him until the F bomb was dropped lol

  10. Warren   On   April 13, 2015 at 6:48 pm

I had to endure Sunday’s sessions, and I must say the only real difference is infants are hilarious and the brethren, not so much.

  11. Joshua Stephen Tesch   On   April 13, 2015 at 9:15 pm

I was looked at funny when I started laughing out loud at work. Thanks for the satire! Helps me deal with the uncomfortable feeling a get by being forced to watch conference.

  12. Suz   On   April 14, 2015 at 3:29 am

This ranks as probably one of my top 3 all favorites!! Please do a part 2 and include the talk on counterfeit families! Sincerely, this is a conference I would pay to go to

  13. Felony Menace   On   April 14, 2015 at 3:50 pm

I was astounded by the heartsold level of truth shared by these beloved brethren. I could never dream of opposing such wisdom and mouth noise..

  14. Will Roberts   On   April 14, 2015 at 6:09 pm

This was easily the funniest thing I’ve heard in a long time. I was kind of hoping that you would have put some of those shameless Deseret Industries or food storage advertisements at the end though.

  15. eze   On   April 15, 2015 at 12:56 am

Super funny. You should keep doing these. The talks were very insightful and I laughed out loud at several parts. I’d like to see you guys incorporate some gangsta rap and attribute it to “the poet”.

  16. Jamie Wood   On   April 15, 2015 at 6:47 am

Did you know BKP’s favorite hobby is painting and sculpting birds and flowers. Masculine, manly flowers. Srsly, Google Boyd k. Packet paintings.

    • Zelph   On   April 17, 2015 at 1:46 am

Not saying painting makes you gay, but one could argue that gay people, comparatively, are statistically more likely to have interest in painting that straight people.

  17. Ron Hill   On   April 15, 2015 at 11:08 pm

Hands down my favorite IOT podcast (and I’ve listened to a lot of great ones). This was so good that I immediately played it again as soon as it finished so I could laugh another time around. The impersonations are eerily on target, that, along with the songs and prayers, makes this an incisive and witty send up of the actual event. I’m definitely sharing this around.

  18. Kevin Rex   On   April 16, 2015 at 7:05 pm

Thanks, I needed a good laugh, and I got as much out of this conference as the original, which I didn’t listen to. I kept my sanity for 6 months more!

  19. Brandon   On   April 16, 2015 at 7:52 pm

I was howling with laughter the whole way through this one. This is the hardest I’ve laughed in a long time. And the two Squatter’s Hop Rising Double IPA’s that I drank while listening made this overall experience unforgettable. Thank you so much for putting the time into this one.

  20. Dave Whiting   On   April 16, 2015 at 8:56 pm

Brilliant and hillarious! The quorum really nailed this one spot on. I strained a muscle in my jaw from laughing so hard. May we all be crust- like and never mess with the cheeses.

  21. Cheezus   On   April 16, 2015 at 10:15 pm

produce the next one in 5 months so we can compare satire revelation to geriatric revelation, such that the hearers of the words may know who provides chicken sh!t for the soul revelation.
This was an historic episode. Well done servants of Cheesus.

  22. wrdgrl   On   April 17, 2015 at 1:18 am

This was one of the very best yet. Whomever put this together deserves a great big trophy. Great job! I loved the echo effect. Brilliant job on the talks, voices, and the hymns. Holy hell, fantastic writing.
All that was missing was the actual Tom and not just the reference to the “Tom Sigh.”

    • Pink-lead   On   April 17, 2015 at 2:44 pm

I agree with the comment about the reverb, it was just the right setting. It didn’t stand out, but it recreated the sound field quite accurately.

  23. Gary Asp   On   April 17, 2015 at 1:44 pm

LMFAO……I’m literally in tears I’m laughing so fucking hard….thanks for the awesomeness that is you IoT!!!!

  24. Pink-lead   On   April 17, 2015 at 2:39 pm

Effing brilliant. I was listening during a flight and probably sprayed on the guy in front of me with sudden bursts of laughter.

  25. Gabriel von Himmel   On   April 17, 2015 at 7:56 pm

The Potemkin Mormon with best foot forward.
Enthroned Infants swoon over the conference torpor, with a drone of hilarity.
Infants are further refining the menace of faith with messages to the full dispensation of the truth for the choir.
I’m confused, I lost count. The number of penises and vaginas was not stated clearly and after a while I was gathered up in a swirl, a sexual malaise of penises and vaginas leading to the persistence of doubt –– a full count would be helpful.
Thank you infants for a parody of the highest order, a marvel to the ear.

  26. Malachi   On   April 20, 2015 at 3:25 am

I’ve listened to this multiple times, awesome satire. Have you seen “honest trailers”? The hymns are like “honest hymns”, loved it!

  27. mama nathan   On   April 21, 2015 at 6:20 am

Did a road trip with my son and he begged to listen to this episode twice! The second time around we were singing along with you all. Thanks!

  28. Michael White   On   May 6, 2015 at 6:32 pm

Mob rule isn’t so bad when you’re part of the mob… I was literally in tears. This is the best episode of any podcast, ever.

  29. Chalice   On   August 14, 2015 at 2:51 pm

Listening to this is like watching South Park, I feel totally naughty of laughing but I can’t help myself!

  30. Natalie Glaus   On   May 18, 2017 at 9:33 pm

This is the hardest I’ve laughed in a long time! Thank you for making conference listenable.
