Yeah, I was going to add a line about the whole Lamanites blooming as a rose and being like a young lion in the midst of sheepish gentiles that is just waiting to rip out the throats of thise gentiles once, having recieved the Truth, those gentiles start sinning and falling away, cuz… you know… don’t sin or fall away or those savage Injuns will get you. But there were just too many syllables. Maybe in a future installment of Church House Rock. 😉

First, Saturday’s Warrior and now Church House Rock. Lots of nostalgia for a guy who grew up in the 70’s and 80’s. Great stuff!

Terrific! Terrific! Terrific! — but one teeny, pedantic quibble — I know many, many, many Mormons are super conservatives and all, but the church itself supports liberalizing immigration laws, a fact which bugs the conservative Utah lawmakers to no end. So, in fact the church wants MORE Mexicans – even if many members don’t. 🙂

Yes, you’re right, Tierza. In retrospect, that line should have been “keep out the gays and empowered women.” But look, I threw that thing together in about 45 min that night after John Hamer floated the “what if we did some kind of School House Rock parodies?” suggestion via email. I put together a quick rough prototype in response, sent it to him and asked “you mean something like this?” and he said, “YES!!! PUBLISH IT NOW.” So I did.
      So basically I’m saying it’s John’s fault. 😉

So basically you’re saying, “No one ever said I was perfect. The Infants work through mortal men, men who make mistakes. And it isn’t my fault anyway, and even if it was we don’t apologize. It isn’t in the script.”

      • Glenn   On   April 4, 2015 at 10:17 am

The other Infants, yes Tierza. Because I can magnanimously admit that mistakes were made, but not by me. 😉

      • John Hamer   On   April 4, 2015 at 3:46 am

Man, it took you like 13 minutes to break and throw me under the bus. What happened to, “If they should torture me with ants and leave me to die in the sun, I will still be true?”

      • Glenn   On   April 4, 2015 at 10:24 am

Come on John. Minutes are like eggs and roses, you know. They come in baker’s dozens, too. And what… do you expect me to just put myself in cold storage for any arbitrary amount of time?
Plus, those torture-ants were applied by Matt in that clever way that only Matt knows how to apply them, and I just caved. Sorry. But what I said was pretty much right, right? So I pretty much still did be’d true.

My ears are bleeding, Glen, don’t give up the day job, dump
the backup singers too. This is why I could not get through the “Saturday’s
Warrior Smackdown”, well that and the fact that I had never seen this
show/play/whatever it was that you were going on about there. I look forward to your comments on the assessment of conference, particularly the those who opposed the sustaining of the 15.
